Mizuno Endure 24

It has been a while now since the Mizuno endure24 race and I have finished recovering and trying all the goodies they gave us so I thought I should write up my event, so grab yourself a cuppa some cake and a seat and settle in for a bit of a read. My Endure24 weekend started at precisely 07:36 Friday morning, when I was awoken by team captain Keith Elshaw phoning to confirm the meeting time later that morning. I decided I better get up and double check I had everything even though I had been ...

Mizuno Endure 24

Race report by Ange Elshaw Endure 24!   Keith mentioned that Scott Goodwin, our BOSH’father was looking to get a team together for Endure24 – never heard of it, but he said it was like the ‘Thunder Run’ only 5 mile loops.  My first thought was that nothing could beat my experience of the ‘Thunder Run’ as I had really enjoyed it – but I was wrong, this event from start to finish has been absolutely brilliant and it’s definitely on my ‘gotta do that baby again’ list!  A number of us arriv...

Mizuno Endure 24

Race report by Kev White Well, its Friday. The day we were leaving to set up camp for endure 24. We all met in a layby to go up in convoy for the hour and a half drive and finally we were there. As we pulled into the site all we could see were the mizuno tents. Keith went and spoke to one of the organizers  who told us where to set up camp so we all set up our accommodation, sat down and had a beer. When Rob brought our goody bags over we were all very pleased with what we got, then later on ...

Mizuno Endure 24

Endure 24 race report Well the weekend of Endure24 is over, the mud can now dry out and the course can recover after the stillness of the route being punctuated by many, many thousands of footfalls. So how was it for me? A fab experience! With working, plus being on standby in my job, we couldn't stay the Friday night. I had to be home. So in the late afternoon my husband (Ian), 10 year old (Verity) and I drove off up to set up camp with the bosh Bloggers,  and then home again for work stan...

Mizuno Endure 24

Training update I would like to say that my training for the Endure 24 has gone to plan, but as sometimes happens with running we often get little setbacks. Mine has taken the form of a Groin and Thigh injury which I believe happened about 5 weeks ago when I ran 8 miles at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park, including my first Park Run. This was followed by the Netley 10K on the Sunday all of which had me running quicker than my usual plod. Of course, I’ve not had it checked out and tried to c...
